The Montecristo 1935 Anniversary cigar started as a special blend but has now become its own brand. The new Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Diamante is a more subtle version of the original blend, this one being medium bodied compared to full bodied in the first release. Rafael Nodal, head of product capability for Altadis U.S.A., blended this new cigar and explained that this cigar was “born out of our admiration for this iconic brand and our passion for creativity.” It’s comprised of 100% Nicaraguan tobaccos; a Cuban-seed Criollo binder, 3 fillers from Estelí, and a wrapper consisting of a hybrid Cuban-seed plant grown in Jalapa. Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Diamante cigars are available in 6 sizes: Churchill (7” by 54), Grande (6” x 60), Icon (4 ¾” x 48), No. 2 (6 ½” x 56), Robusto (5” x 54), and Toro (6” x 55).
