Information Collected

Corona Cigar Company, much like our competitors, gathers and stores a variety of information to make your shopping experience a more pleasurable one; information including, but not limited to: names, shipping and billing addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, login and password information, Rewards Card Numbers, catalog requests, and order history. We do not store credit card information on our company database. You can choose not to provide certain information, but this may limit the functionality of your search and future ordering. It may also limit your access to the deals, discounts, and promotions on our site.

How We Use Your Information

The information we gather is used for the sole purposes of keeping an accurate account of your purchases and interests in order to improve your shopping experience and future requests. We engage the use of third party sites for a variety of product customization, Rewards Programs, data analysis, web site performance, catalog distribution, marketing and email campaigns, payment processing, fraud protection, and additional e-commerce security. The information we provide these third party companies is authorized only for the services they provide and are not intended for resale.


Email addresses are used for online account identification. In addition, Daily and Weekly email updates may be sent to inform customers of upcoming events, cigar deals, and other promotions. All customers who finalize a transaction and provide the necessary email identification will automatically be signed up for our weekly emails unless “Join the Corona Cigar Company Mailing List” box is unchecked on the checkout screen of their purchase. We rely on a third party service to help distribute all of our email campaigns. You may opt out anytime by using the “opt out” feature at the bottom of each email. Email addresses are also used internally to send digital receipts, order confirmations, and shipment tracking.


Cookies have many uses for both company and consumer. On the consumer side, cookies are used to monitor and update shopping carts. At Corona Cigar Company, cookies are used to identify how a customer enters our store. They are also used for product performance monitoring, page traffic, and advertising with third party companies. How to Change Your Personal Account Information

You can update your account information by logging into your account and visiting My Account. Once here, simply click on “Update Account Details.” Here you can modify your account details including your email address, telephone number, and login password.

Is the Information I Provide Secure?

Corona Cigar Company is committed to the privacy of our customer’s personal and financial information. To protect your information we’ve put in place systems and procedures to ensure the information we collect online is secure. We utilize a secure server (https://) plus Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software during the transmission of pertinent data during the checkout process. This encrypts the information you entered, including credit card information, before the transmission of your data takes place. It is important to protect yourself against unauthorized activity to your account by logging out of your account once an order has been successfully completed; especially if using a shared computer.

Debit and Credit Card Transactions

When placing an order on our web store, your credit card or debit card will not be charged until your order is processed. However, your bank summary may show what appears to be an actual deduction. These funds are put on hold by your credit card company, but will not be deducted from your account until your order has been processed. Once your order has been shipped, we will send you an email confirmation along with your tracking number. Take care when using a debit card verses a credit card to place online orders as debit cards are tied to available funds.
