Born from the same experimental spirit that gave us the Dirty Rat, Year of the Rat is another standout from the Liga Privada Unico program at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate. It began as an exceptional one-off blend—too good to leave in the vault—and earned its place as one of Drew Estate’s most distinctive annual releases.
This 5 1/2" x 46 Corona Gorda is rolled with a distinctive fantail cap and built around a stalk-cut Connecticut River Valley Broadleaf wrapper, delivering a dark, oily appearance that sets the tone before the first draw. Brazilian Mata Fina binder and a blend of Nicaraguan and Honduran fillers bring depth and strength to the profile.
Expect layers of black pepper, earth, rich spice, and natural tobacco sweetness that develop steadily from the first puff through the finish. Each cigar is individually wrapped in gold foil and presented in an embossed blue 10-count box, making Year of the Rat as striking on the shelf as it is in the hand.
