Description
Gold Star by United Cigars is a storied name brought back with a bold new identity. Originally launched in 1995, the brand returned in 2024 as a limited-edition release supporting the Navy SEAL Gold Star Program before becoming a regular-production cigar. Crafted at Tabacalera William Ventura in the Dominican Republic, Gold Star features an Ecuadorian Habano 2000 wrapper from Quevedo, an Indonesian Sumatra binder, and fillers of Dominican ligero, Criollo ’98, Corojo ’98, and U.S. Connecticut Broadleaf.
The updated blend places greater emphasis on ligero and Broadleaf, delivering added body and depth while maintaining a balanced, refined profile. After a year of post-roll aging, the cigar offers medium strength with rich notes of cedar, leather, earth, spice, and dark sweetness on the finish. Gold Star is a tribute to craftsmanship, tradition, and camaraderie—while marking an exciting new chapter for United Cigars.
