Pete Johnson has put a spin on the Tatuaje La Riqueza blend. This new blend uses a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, a Nicaraguan double binder, and Nicaraguan fillers. The Tatuaje La Riqueza SE 2022 is a 5 5/8” x 54 box-pressed Robusto Gordo with a limited production of 4,500 10ct boxes available. This blend is slight stronger (medium to full-bodied) and contains delicious notes of pepper, espresso, earth, and cocoa. “This is just a warmup for La Riqueza to come back into production” says Pete Johnson, since it was removed from the lineup in 2017 for some reworking to the company’s portfolio.
