The name hails from two different people, one historical and the other alive: Armenian General Vartan (also spelled Vardan) Mamikonian & Vartan Seferian, owner of Ambassador Fine Cigars in Phoenix, AZ, who collaborated with El Septimo on creating the blend. The blend consists of a five-country blend; which includes an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, a Dominican binder, and fillers from Costa Rica/Honduras/Nicaragua/Dominican Republic.
