J.C. Newman Cigar Co. has rolled cigars since 1895, and after more than 130 years, it remains one of America's oldest family-owned cigar makers. Stanford Newman worked with the Fuente family in 1995 to reintroduce Diamond Crown cigars as a premium series for the company's 100th anniversary. These cigars are handmade in the Dominican Republic at Tabacalera A. Fuente, then aged in groups of 50 for at least a year. Each roll undergoes thorough quality-control inspections to uphold quality standards and ensure proper aging.

Diamond Crown Black Diamond

The Diamond Crown Black Diamond line features a sun-grown, double-fermented Connecticut Havana seed wrapper covering a Dominican binder and filler. It comes in three sizes, including the Emerald (6 x 52), Radiant (4 1/2 x 54) and Marquise (5 1/4 x 56), sold as singles or boxes of 20. J.C. Newman reworked the blend in 2022 for extra strength.

Diamond Crown Maduro

For a darker leaf, try the Diamond Crown Maduro cigar. It pairs a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper with an aged Dominican binder and a filler made from selected tobaccos from the Caribbean and Central America. The wrapper undergoes a second fermentation that deepens its color and removes any rawness. It features a smooth but layered smoke with chocolate notes throughout. 

Diamond Crown Maximus

Diamond Crown Maximus grew from a partnership among the Fuente, Newman and Oliva families, using a sun-grown wrapper from Ecuador's El Bajo region over specially aged Dominican filler. Enjoy a medium- to full-strength smoke with earth, coffee bean and cedar spice notes. The tobaccos age for five years for a bolder profile.
