Davidoff Year of the Dragon

The Year of the Dragon is back for the first time since 2012! This limited-edition stick will be the 13th production in the Chinese Zodiac Calendar line, meaning the Year of the Dragon 2024 will complete the 12-year calendar cycle. The Davidoff Year of the Dragon 2024 will feature eight different tobaccos aged for a total of 60 years. This exclusive luxury cigar uses fillers from Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Nicaragua, all bound beautifully by a Dominican binder wrapped elegantly in an Ecuadorian wrapper. This Year of the Dragon stands out in more ways than one. Being Davidoff’s first cigar to feature an uncovered brushed foot, this allows the consumer to fully taste the internal blend without the interference of the Ecuadorian wrapper.

The Year of the Dragon 2024 isn't the only thing Davidoff is releasing for the Chinese New Year. Upon this cigar’s release, Davidoff is dropping a few exclusive accessories too. Teaming up with artists Zhang Zhaoying and Sika Viagbo, Davidoff has released a glass mosaic Year of the Dragon Masterpiece humidor. This enchanting humidor will be limited to only 25 in production. Davidoff has also announced a new Double Blade Cigar Cutter with a unique colorway and a stunning red leather case. The Double Blade Cigar Cutter is limited to 588 pieces. The Davidoff Limited Edition 2024 Year of the Dragon Ashtrays will also be limited to 588 in production. This porcelain ashtray, made in Limoges, France, features the iconic red and gold Chinese Zodiac colorway in an eye-catching dragon scale print. Davidoff will also be releasing a special pipe tobacco honor the Year of the dragon, unfortunately the pipe tobacco will not be sold in the U.S.

“To close this entire Chinese zodiac cycle with many highlights for our aficionados, our creative teams around the world have outdone themselves in their respective spheres. We reflected the importance of the Dragon with our largest zodiac cigar thus far: an impressive double corona with an uncut foot. Furthermore, our very limited gran toro cigar, an intriguing pipe tobacco blend, and state-of-the-art accessories and packaging design make this collection one of the most exciting of the entire cycle.” - Edward Simon, CMO at Oettinger Davidoff AG
