His son Jaime secretly developed the original My Father blend in Nicaragua as a tribute to his father, launching the brand in 2008. The My Father Le Bijou 1922, crafted in honor of Pepin's father, won the Cigar of the Year award in 2015. In 2012, it was the turn of Flor de Las Antillas to take home the same prestigious award. The Garcia family now operates three factories where Cubanesque rolling techniques meet Nicaraguan terroir.
