Can you believe it’s been over 15 years since Rocky Patel entered the cigar industry?! He is now one of the most recognized faces in the cigar industry and in the public eye of defending our rights to enjoy cigars. With the recent acquisition of a Nicaraguan factory, Rocky Patel begun to diversify his cigar line with bold ventures unexplored.
The Rocky Patel 15th Anniversary is one such venture. Featuring a Habano-seed Ecuadorian wrapper and Nicaraguan binder and filler, the 15th Anniversary is a medium bodied experience of pure bliss. From start to finish, the cigar is a decadent roller coaster ride of earthy chocolate tones with subtle spice. Even the finish is reminiscent of Cabernet wine with nuances of red meat and cedar. The Rocky Patel 15th Anniversary cigar is a welcomed change in the extensive Honduran tobacco portfolio and a cigar worthy of commemorating the 15th year Rocky Patel has been in the cigar industry.

Meh. Pretty consistent flavor throughout until the very end when it became disagreeable. Smelled great before the burn and had nice a molasses cold draw. Burned uneven with multiple rescue interventions. It was flavorful with nice aroma, but it never morphed into an experience at any point, other than the end...which was unpleasant. Not what I expected and wouldn't do again. I have a physical barometer on good smokes. If I get hiccups it's a no go. Got one hiccup on this.
On an unrelated note, I purchased this single as a trial and I find the next week after purchase the price has dropped 20%. Not a big deal buying only a stick. Had I bought a box I'd be more than a little disturbed.
