Jaime Garcia, Don Pepin Garcia’s son, has been hard at work creating cigars to rival the success of the My Father cigar, which was ranked #3 in Cigar Aficionado’s 25 Best Cigars of 2009. After many attempts and fine tuning, Jaime Garcia has released the Reserva Especial. The Reserva Especial utilizes a Broadleaf wrapper and Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos.
The beginning of the cigar starts out as a thick, creamy smoke with slight nuances of earth and cedar spice. Reserva Especial quickly builds into a medium to full bodied experience with decadent notes dark chocolate and espresso beans. A complete 180° from anything I’ve ever smoked that’s come from the Garcia family. I’m expecting great things to come from Jaime Garcia in the future; he has the experience and skill to create another Top 25 cigar.
Strength: Medium to Full
Wrapper: Connecticut Broadleaf

I feel like there has to be an overwhelming reason to give a cigar a top rating. I have more than a few of Jaime Garcia in my humidor and I have yet to find one that hasn't been worth the money and the experience. Set the time aside and enjoy this one - it's rich in flavor but smooth. You'll enjoy this one and at this price point, you get more than you're paying for - it deserves 5 stars.
