The word Metapa means “place of magueys” which is a type of agave plant. Ruben Dario was born in the city of Metapa and so the name is very fitting. The Foundation Metapa Claro blend consists of an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, Connecticut Broadleaf binder, and Nicaraguan fillers (Esteli & Jalapa).
