The majority of cigars branch out into two categories: natural and maduro. Appearing in a light-tan or blonde color, Natural wrappers exude notes of almonds, cashews, cedar, toast (buttered and unbuttered) and cream. While many Connecticut wrappers are Natural cigars, not all Natural wrappers fall under the Connecticut umbrella. If a cigar isn’t a maduro, it’s most likely classified as a Natural cigar. Natural wrappers include many tobacco and see varietals from numerous countries of origin.
