Try the New Guardian of the Farm Cigars From Casa Fernandez and Warped Cigars

The latest cigar from Kyle Gellis of Warped Cigars and Max Fernandez of Casa Fernandez are called Guardian of the Farm. If you look at the ring, you might think the cigars are a tribute to the English bulldogs Campeon and JJ who belong to the Fernandez family and Apollo who belongs to Gellis. You would be half right.

The first cigar created by Gellis & Fernandez was the Futuro which translates to future in English. These young cigar makers see themselves as the future of cigar making. The name Guardian of the Farm reflects this sentiment. In an interview with Cigar Aficionado Kyle Gellis had this to say:

"We are both extremely young for the industry and want to make sure the integrity of the tradition is kept alive and strong while blending in new modern approaches. For myself and Max especially, this all starts at the farm level."

The Guardian of the Farm cigars are Nicaraguan puros. They are comprised of a Jalapa Shade Corojo ’99 wrapper, a Corojo ’99 binder, and a Corojo ’99 and Criollo ’98 filler blend. The cigars are handmade at the Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A. (TABSA) factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. They come in three sizes. The JJ is a 5 1/4 x 50 Robusto, and the Campeon is a 6 x 52 Toro. The Apollo is a limited edition 6 x 44 Lonsdale.
