The History of Davidoff Cigars

Davidoff cigars have long been known as a symbol of luxury and comfort. Their history of elegance dates back over a hundred years. The name now stands for other luxury items such as luggage, liquor and colognes, but their standing glory is their original product, the cigar. The history of Davidoff cigars is as intriguing as the cigar itself. 

The Davidoff family were originally known for their fine tobacco blends. Their clients were sme of the world’s most influential people of the time such as, leader Vladimir Lenin. Zino Davidoff began a new journey for the family. He studied the art of tobacco cultivation and invented new ways of storing tobacco and mixing the blends.  He built the first desktop humidor which changed the entire cigar industry. His Château and Grand Crus lines of cigars came out in 1947 and took the world by storm. Zino’s passion was his work and he began instilling in all his employees the importance of using only the most intuitive processes and high-quality tobacco in existence.

During the 1970’s, the company goal became to make Dominican cigars as well-known and sought after as Cubans. They made special blends of cigars and cigarillos that people still love today. Their original practices and level of quality still intact, the brand only grew in its reputation as the best cigar available.
