Drew Estate Kentucky Fire Cured Cigars
At Corona Cigar Company, we are always getting new cigars in stock. Included in our latest list of acquisitions are several varieties of Kentucky Fire Cured® cigars. Among them are Chunky, Fat Molly, Just a Friend, Kyotos and HamHock. They’ll be joining our existing collection of premium cigars from Drew Estate®.
Just in case you’re not familiar with Drew Estate®, it was founded in 1998 by fraternity brothers, Marvin Samel and Jonathan Drew. Their very first cigar line was known as the La Vieja Habana. Since then, they’ve continued to expand their product lines. Now their portfolio includes cigar aficionado favorites like ACID, Ambrosia, My Uzi Weighs a Ton, Liga Privada, Tabak Especial and Herrera Esteli, jsut to name a few. The Kentucky Fire Cured line is quickly becoming a favorite among cigar enthusiasts.
The Chunky cigars are expectedly beefy, sporting profiles that are 4-inches by 46-inches. However, they are not the beefiest of the five new cigars. That honor goes to the Just a Friend cigars, which are 6-inches by 52-inches. The Fat Molly cigars fall into the middle with a figure that’s 5-inches by 56-inches. The HamHocks are 3-3/4-inches by 56-inches and the Kyotos are 5-1/2-inches by 34-inches. All five leave the distinctive hint of oak, peat and smoke on the palate. It’s achieved, in part, by the expert use of broadleaf, stalk cut tobacco and a two step firing method.
The two step firing method involves starting the heating process on low and slowly increasing it until it reaches a perfect 130 degrees Fahrenheit, where it remains until the midrib flavors intensify. Afterward, the temperature is altered again and the cigars are finished off using Drew Estate®’s time-tested, proprietary techniques. Once they all pass muster, they’re packaged in bundles of 10 and sent on their way. To learn more about them and the other new cigars that we have in stock, please contact us today.
