Flor de Cielo Miami Cigars

Ahhh...the Flor de Cielo saga.
During our end of the year inventory audit, our eagle eye manager Kristy brought to my attention that we had a quantity of the original Flor de Cielo Churchill cigars in stock that were being confused with our current production Flor de Cielo cigars. (Right now we have three different versions of Cielo cigars but only two different Cielo bands...sound confusing?)
But before I get into a sales pitch for Flor de Cielo, I need to rewind a bit and give you some history about this cigar.
The idea for Flor de Cielo was to make a special cigar that had a "tulip" shaped or "flowered head" with a tiny strip of maduro wrapper that bound the flowered cap together. I had seen some old Cuban cigars and an Opus X cigar that had a flower head and thought it added a level of "art" to the cigar. So I wanted to make a special, small batch production of Flor de Cielo with a flowered head.
It is extremely difficult to make a flowered head on a cigar and none of the factories that were making cigars for us could roll this cigar...except for a little known, but incredibly skilled Cuban cigar roller who was working with one of our oldest suppliers, Tabacalera Tropical. Turns out, that this Cuban master cigar maker was none other than one of today's hottest cigar makers- Don Pepin Garcia.
Back then, Pepin had just opened his factory in Miami's Little Havana. He was making cigars for three wholesale clients- Pete Johnson of Tatuaje cigars and two other private label cigars. Pepin was eager for business and when I showed Pepin what I wanted done, he said "No problemo!"
Flor de Cielo tulip head cigars are made with a golden brown Connecticut wrapper and the long filler and binder tobaccos are 100% Aganorsa tobacco from Nicaragua. The flavor is medium bodied and a little milder than most of Pepin blends. The construction of this cigar is second to none, with a firm, Cuban style draw and slow even burn.
There was one drawback to this cigar- the tulip head is VERY fragile. If you buy a box, there may be a few tulip heads that may break during shipping.
I want to move these cigars out so we are going to sell them to you below our cost. Making cigars in Miami is VERY expensive (especially ones rolled by Pepin).
So take advantage of this deal while our supplies last.
