EP Carrillo Short Run Cigars

Miss the original La Gloria Cubana cigars? Well today is your lucky day, Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, former owner of La Gloria Cubana, has released his second installment of the EP Carrillo Short Run. I’ve smoked several of these cigars and each one is reminiscent of La Gloria Cubana from the 90s. While the Perez-Carrillos cigars are made in the Dominican Republic, they are made in non-Dominican fashion, using two binder leaves and with triple caps on each cigar, a process that ensures a higher level of quality.

EP Carrillo Short Run 2011 is currently available in three sizes. The Short Run features a toothy Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, Nicaraguan binders and a filler blend consisting of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos. From start to finish, this medium bodied smoke delivers rich flavors of roasted coffee and cedar with notes of white pepper and a long lasting oily finish. If you’re looking to try a new cigar, the EP Carrillo Short Run 2011 should be on your to-do list to smoke.
