Don Pepin Blue Label is the original cigar under the Don Pepin name. It pre-dates the famous Tatuaje cigar and was one of the first major blends produced in Don Pepin’s Little Havana factory located in Miami.
Both the Don Pepin Blue Label and Tatuaje began to gain fame about the same time. However, due to some high cigar ratings and publicity, Tatuaje gained more popularity. (It also didn't help that Pepin didn't speak english)
The Don Pepin Blue Label became an underground smoke for those who were "in the know." It wasn’t until Pepin’s name became as well-known as Tatuaje that the Don Pepin Blue Label was discovered by the main-stream cigar smokers.
The Don Pepin Blue Label is full-bodied and has flavors of leather, earth and pepper, complimented by a long toasty finish with a rich barley undertone like a dark German wheat ale. This all Nicaraguan tobacco blend proves an original can’t be beat.
