In the early1990’s Cameroon tobacco almost became extinct because of poor quality and the growing political unrest in the area, but due to the efforts of Rick Merrapfel Cameroon tobacco was saved. Since then Cameroon has become one of the cigar industries more popular wrapper.
Cameroon wrapper is thinner so it burns well – very even – and the flavor of the tobacco is very unique – smooth and spicy.
The Oliva Serie G is one of the best examples of the distinct flavors Cameroon cigars offer.
Blended with a specially grown Cameroon wrapper and Nicarguan binder and fillers, the Oliva Serie G is a mellow, mild to medium-bodied cigar with complex flavors of coffee, nuts and cedar, which are accompanied by a spiciness that is inherent to Cameroon wrapper.
