The creation of a blend is an art form, a creative process. While some manufacturers and blenders fall into ruts and commercial safety, a few boldly push cigars into the next realm. Christian Eiroa is one of those blenders. He struggled for nine months perfecting this first ever all Maduro blend, and so often the greatest successes are born of extreme struggle. In Christian’s eyes, aside from his ultimate creation, the Camacho Diploma, he is proudest of the Triple Maduro.
When the idea was in its inception it was said to be an impossible undertaking. There is no way to get these thick oily leaves to all burn and smoke correctly. Quite possibly this idea, that the cigar could not be made, drove Christian to prove it wrong. He and his father Julio began the daunting task of creating an industry first. This resulted in The Triple Maduro, the first ever all Maduro cigar.
Wrapper, binder, and filler are all made of a specially guarded blend of Maduro leaf.
Triple Maduro is an amazing experience. The wrapper is dark as midnight and toothy. The smoke comes thick through the easy draw and the flavors astound. The first inch of Triple Maduro is an in your face thrill ride, often evoking a loud “whoooo” from the smoker.
It soon mellows into a deeply complex, full-bodied smoke. A true Maduro lovers dream, Triple Maduro is full-bodied and peppery with that deep woodsy, slightly sweet Maduro quality. An essence of black coffee lingers on the long finish. Highly recommended smoke for those looking for something that pushes the limits and achieves a unique and gratifying experience.
