Here it is…the Montecristo Platinum Toro Single Cigar. The Montecristo brand is well known on both sides of the embargo and the most unique of the Dominican produced Monte’s is the Montecristo Platinum. What makes the Platinum so different is the wrapper, a Habana 2000 seed grown in the rich soil of the San Andres Valley in Mexico.
The Montecristo Platinum Toro Single Cigar’s filler is a blend of aged Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Peruvian tobaccos with a Nicaraguan binder.
It seems the solid blend of filler and binder give Platinum its earthy core, and the wrapper gives it a mellow and pleasant extra special wood spice. Mild to medium bodied on the medium side, the flavor is there without overpowering the pallet making the Platinum an incredibly constructed smoke that performs famously.
Montecristo Platnium No. 2 Review, 21st Aug 2013

This cigar is another reason why it pays to stick with the classics instead of whatever is the latest trend in cigars. My experience with this cigar was perfect with zero problems or complaints. Lighting was effortless, easy draw producing copious amounts of smoke and a nice white ash. While fuller in flavor than the White line, it was still very easy smoking and very smooth.
