Joya de Nicaragua Cabinet No.11 Single Cigar

The initial flavors from the Cabinetta's maduro cap are oily and earthy overtones with a slight spicy tingle; the ignited lower half of the cigar is wrapped in a silky, natural wrapper that yields decadent undertones of cream and coffee bean. The experience is a more pronounced difference in flavor compared to barber pole wrapped cigars.

Mild to medium bodied, the Joya de Nicaragua Cabinetta delivers bold flavors to satisfy an aficionado any time of day, but mellow enough to be fired up with a morning cup of coffee. At such an affordable price, you’ll want to dedicate a special place in your humidor the Joya de Nicaragua Cabinetta.

The first noticeable feature is the light body/dark cap. I always check the aroma before lighting. The nose tells me this is a mild smoke and upon firing up, the taste is confirmed. The draw is easy and I found the cigar maintains well-lite status. Given a basic "smoking rate" this cigar is a 45 minute smoke - great for relaxing and enjoying a glass of wine. I might add the Joya de Nigcaragua goes well with a good Cab. Enjoy this one!

This dual wrapper looks tasty. The pre-lite draw was flawless with notes of hay and green tea. Solid feel in hand but not heavy.Once lit a full rich tobacco flavor comes thru with a hint of pepper in the finish. Flavor profile had very little change until I got to the Maduro end the a note of semi-sweet chocolate.

This smoke was a solid and smooth cigar. Nice draw with a little spice. Nice cigar to relax to flavor changed with a little chocolate towards the cap. Overall a great cigar to enjoy anytime of the day. I give it a 7/10. I would recommend it to beginners or anyone who like a milder cigar.

4 stars title= Easy smoke, 20th May 2013

Reviewer: Mike Cappello

Smooth easy smoke start to finish. Lighter and milder than I usually smoke but still very solid cigar. Nice draw and a nice fuller flavor towards the end. About an hour and a half or less to smoke. A. Nice change up from the darker smokes. Would recommend for smokers that enjoy a milder flavor. 7.5 out of 10

4 stars title= A very fine mild smoke, 16th May 2013

I tend to smoke strong spicy cigars, so I knew right off the bat this was going to be milder than I prefer. I lit it in the morning with a cup of black French Roast and it delivered as I expected with flawless draw and burn. 1/3 of the way down it developed more character and was richer than I anticipated, which pleased me. My suggestion to Joya de Nic (pre-revolution, the Joya Consul was one of my fave smokes) is to add a half inch of the maduro wrapper because when I got to it, the flavor was terrific but by this point I was burning my mustache, This is a great smoke for those who prefer mild to medium sticks.

Joya De Nicaragua…
A beauty… The natural wrapper with a Maduro cap is aesthetically pleasing, this impressive 6 x 50 Toro is a very well made cigar. It is tight with a very smooth draw and lights very nicely and fairly evenly, though it burns perfectly upon the first draw right down to the last with a light ash. I found the fragrance before lighting to be mild and earthy with a hint of leather and black pepper. The smoke was a confirmation of the fragrance… Mild to the light end of medium in body the flavor is a consistent pleasure of earthy coffee notes and a light creamy smoke with a very subtle peppery finish that is more pronounced in the nose. The smoke finishes with a pleasant richness of chocolate and white pepper as it reaches the Maduro cap, but with little aftertaste. It was a perfect Saturday morning smoke with my latte and one I would love to experience again, and again. This one is going on my favorites list. Cheers!

4 stars title= Excellent mild to medium smoke, 23rd May 2013

The cigar begins with an interesting look - the dual wrapper is unusual and adds to the intrigue of the cigar . It provides a full rich creamy flavor with an excellent draw .There is a hint of pepper in the taste - more so as you get to the end but overall a mild to light medium smoke . It went perfectly with my morning cup of coffee .

A very good, mild Connecticut cigar. I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor and aroma. Burn was slow and consistent a good 45 minutes smoke, the draw was smooth & easy.

Definitely a smooth smoke. The mixed wrapper added to the overall flavor. A slight creamy with a light pepper flavor. A very slow and even burn with a light drag. I did not want to put this one out, so I did'nt, I smoked it down to a nub!
