Excalibur cigars were once flagship brand of Hoyo de Monterrey, however it is now one of the older cigar brands that is starting to show its age. Some sizes still sell but not like they did ten years ago.
Excalibur cigars are smooth tasting, medium-bodied cigars hand made in Honduras. The draw is good and the flavor is pretty consistent.

Excalibur Maduro, 26th Jun 2013

I love these cigars, especially since they were the first ones that I started on when I was 18 many years ago. They are every bit as smooth as a Macanudo but with much more flavor, yet still very smooth. Construction on these cigars is top notch, as I have never had any problems with either burn or draw. And it produces a very stable steel gray ash. The flavor is that of leather and earthy tones along with subtle cacao. This is one of the classics for a reason, everybody should try this cigar at least once in their life.
A Nice Relaxing Smoke, 27th Jun 2013

This is a medium bodied cigar, but somewhat toned down compared to the average maduro. It is creamy and smooth from start to finish, with an even burn, nice ash, open draw, and voluminous smoke output. The flavor profile is subtle coffee, a hint of molasses, and a slight sweetness on the finish. In the final third, the profile ramped up a notch, coming into it's own, producing a smoke that made me wish the experience would not soon be over.

Smooth Maduro, 27th Jul 2013

The excalibur is a medium bodied smooth tasting cigar. It had an even burn with a smooth creamy draw and the flavor stayed pretty consistent throughout. The flavor consisted of tastes of coffee with a slight sweetness towards the end. This churchill lasted me over 2 hours and was enjoyable. It's not my favorite maduro but it's a quality smoke that i'll definitely have again.

What a great cigar! I don't usually go for a Churchill because of the length of time it tikes to smoke it! I'll MAKE time for these! Excellent!

This cigar is a medium bodied and smooth tasting. It has an even burn with a nice draw and the flavor stayed pretty consistent. The flavor had hints of coffee with a little sweetness. This big boy can last upwards of a couple of hours, so get comfortable. It's a good smoke that I'll try again. You should too.

This cigar's good appearance will make you want to try it. Good idea! Its even burn, good draw will make this a medium body smoke to enjoy after a good meal ... dinner. It could have delivered more flavor, although the balance was OK. It's not the worst cigar I've smoked ... but its not the best either. I would light one up again and smoke it all the way down.
