New From Fonseca!
The new Fonseca Reserva Especial is a limited edition cigar that is totally different from all other Fonseca cigars. Traditionally, Fonseca cigars are very mild. In fact, it is almost like a Fonseca trademark to be “mild and smooth”. But Manuel Quesada broke the mold when he blended this one! First off, he selected a dark, Havana Criollo wrapper that is grown in Honduras. This wrapper is not only beautiful, but it packs a lot of flavor. Second, Manuel blended full-bodied Nicaraguan ligero tobacco with a special 1996 vintage Dominican tobacco. This combination creates a flavorful and somewhat strong smoke.
Due to the small quantities tobacco available for this blend, Manuel was only able to produce 1000 boxes and make only one size- a hefty 7”x 52 Torpedo. Each Mahogany box of Fonseca Reserve Especials are inspected and signed by Manuel.
