There was a bet surrounding the release of the Camacho Select. Julio Eiroa blended the new Camacho Select to his specifications and when his son Christian disagreed with the blend a bet was soon made between the two. Julio’s Camacho Select verses Christian’s Camacho Corojo. Whichever brand sells more, wins; this is a bet that could possibly continue from fiscal year to fiscal year.
The Camacho Select is a medium-bodied cigar that was developed with a specially grown Honduran Cameroon Wrapper. The Wrapper took years to develop and grow and makes the Camacho Select the amazing cigar it is.
Camacho Select is a very deep and complex cigar. The cigar starts off very mellow and builds in flavors of earth and cashews with a subtle creaminess. Cameroon is a very difficult leaf to balance. It can either overpower the binder and filler or its flavors can be lost in a more powerful binder and filler. The Camacho Select is perfectly balanced to a point that Julio Eiroa has created one of the best Cameroon cigars on the market
