Extremely Rare Pre-Embargo & Prohibition Era Whiskey
In the history of the United States, Prohibition was the period from 1920 to December 5 th , 1933, during which the sale, manufacture, and transportation of alcohol for consumption were banned nationally as mandated in the Eighteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. During Prohibition, the only legal sale of alcohol was for "Medicinal Purposes Only" where a doctor's prescription was required to make a purchase.
On February 7th, 1962, President John F. Kennedy enacted a trade embargo against Cuba. Since then, it has been illegal for Americans to purchase, possess or consume Cuban products - including cigars and rum. Cuban products that were imported into the U.S. prior to the embargo are the only Cuban products Americans can legally enjoy.
