One evening, after a particularly lengthy "meeting" at the local pub, it occurred to Ted that he should set out to create the perfect smoker's complement to his favorite beer, India Pale Ale, or IPA for short.
He experimented with dozens of craft beers, and equally as many hop varieties, until settling upon Centennial Hops, known for their robust floral aroma, to season this premium Dominican Republic Cigar. The result is the HOPZ™ Craft Beer Cigar.
He uses the same proprietary process for seasoning our Maker's Mark Bourbon Cigar to give this 6x50 toro its remarkable ale-like qualities, and then seal it in a glass tube for freshness. Hand Crafted Kentucky Bourbon Combined With A Dmninican Hand Made Cigar, mmm...
The link between bourbon and cigars is as old as, well, bourbon itself. No one knows exactly when or why these two started being enjoyed in each other’s company. But one thing’s for sure. When you have some of the world’s finest cigars in the same room with a little Maker’s Mark, it just feels right.
Plus, there's a lot to like about Maker's Mark cigars. Each cigar is hand rolled in the Dominican Republic with Cuban-seed, Dominican tobacco into a chunky Robusto size (6"x 50).
After rolling, the cigars are aged just like the Bourbon and aromatically flavored with Maker's Mark whiskey. The final step is having the cigar sealed in a glass tube and hand-dipped in the signature red wax to preserve the flavor.
FYI - The Maker's Mark 10th Anniversary cigar was released as a one shot deal. These cigars are very popular with our retail store customers so we bought as many as we could. When these sell out, we can't get more. Same goes for the Maker's Mark cigarillos.
