Trinidad is best known for the famed Cuban brand used as special gifts by Castro, but the name has also been gaining much recognition for its Dominican counterpart. The Altadis produced Trinidad uses a well balanced mixture of Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Peruvian tobacco for the filler, a Connecticut broadleaf binder for smoothness, and an Ecuadorian wrapper, which is an outstanding complement to the binder and filler. The blend allows for a seamless smoke. Trinidad, a mild to medium bodied smoke on the medium side of the spectrum, abounds with flavors of earth, leather, and coffee, and a slight spice pleasantly builds as it is smoked, and with no one flavor overpowering the other, each is highlighted. An easy draw and great burn accompany this well built cigar making the Trinidad a complete and distinct smoke.
