Padilla Signature 1932
Mention that Don Pepin has blended a cigar and that cigar has instant credibility. Don Pepin consistently creates cigars that define outstanding. Pepin’s success as a blender and manufacturer invigorated a cigar community in search of a cigar that embodies the Cuban heritage and Cuban flavor. No better man could have been chosen to create a cigar that honors a noted Cuban poet and father of cigar manufacturer Ernesto Padilla.
In honor of his late father, Heberto Padilla, Ernesto Padilla collaborated with Don Pepin Garcia to create the Padilla Signature 1932. Heberto was born in 1932 and became a prominent Cuban poet and friends with Ernest Hemingway. It was undoubtedly their love of the written word and cigars that brought them together. The Padilla Signature 1932 uses a five year old Cuban Corojo seed, Nicaraguan wrapper with Nicaraguan Criollo binder and filler. The cigar is full-bodied and carries flavors of dark chocolate, dry roasted peanuts and almonds with an amazing spice that turns into a slightly sweet and pleasantly long finish. The Padilla Signature 1932 is a cigar steeped in Cuban tradition and history and delivers a vision of that rich history in a delicious, full flavored smoke.
