A recent trip to Nicaragua produced a new long-filler bundled cigar we've appropriately named El Repo. These cigars once belonged to one of the largest tobacco leaf growers and cigar manufacturers in Nicaragua. Unfortunately, the company didn't manage their Cordovas (Nicaraguan dollars) too well and "El Banco de Nicaragua" repossessed all their cigars! (Hence the name El Repo.)

Well, after months of waiting, we finally received our shipment of El Repo cigars. I thought it was a little odd that an unmarked delivery truck was making a delivery at 2 a.m. on a Saturday. And I don't recall ever seeing a 300-pound UPS driver wearing a pin striped suit and sporting a Tommy gun. I got to admit I was a little nervous about this "delivery" until I realized it was Guido, my friendly Repo Man. He just returned from Nicaragua with a whole bunch of El Repo repossessed cigars. And let me tell you, these cigars are good.

El Repo cigars have a beautiful Cuban-seed rosado wrapper and Nicaraguan long-filler tobaccos that have been aging for five years. I can't disclose what brand these cigars were intended to be, but I can tell you that they used to retail for around $6 a stick.
