Ashton Heritage Puro Sol

The Ashton Heritage Puro Sol was a cigar in danger even before its conception. In the 1990’s the French abandoned West African tobacco and it was through the efforts of the late Richard Meerapfel that the leaf we know as Cameroon is not extinct but alive and well. By rescuing Cameroon seeds he saved countless cigars that relied on Cameroon tobacco for its distinct blend including the then future Ashton Heritage Puro Sol. The Cameroon wrapper used in the Heritage Puro Sol was hand selected by Meerapfel and then sent to the Fuente Family to be blended into what is now the masterpiece known as Ashton Heritage Puro Sol. Blended using a 100% sun grown tobacco, the Heritage Puro Sol carries the deep, robust flavors of a fuller bodied cigar, and yet retains the smooth sweetness of a mild Cameroon cigar. Mild to medium in body, the Heritage Puro Sol has overtones of rich earth with loads of spices. The finish is smooth and carries a slight sweetness that lingers pleasantly between puffs. The Ashton Heritage Puro Sol is the joint creation of two families, both masters of toboacco, who have created a cigar that delivers the perfect balance between flavor and strength – there is only one thing the Heritage Puro Sol will never do – disappoint.
