Carlos Torano is known for producing blockbuster medium bodied cigars. The Virtuoso breaks that mold by being the fullest bodied Torano blend. Carlos and Charlie Torano are expert tobacco growers, many cigar companies use Torano tobacco in their blends, but the dark and velvety Nicaraguan sun grown wrapper they grow is reserved exclusively for the Virtuoso. The complex flavors of Virtuoso are also enhanced by its diverse blend of filler tobaccos from Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. Panamanian tobacco is rarely used in a blend because it is tough to balance, but the Torano family never shies away from a challenge. The Torano’s have perfectly blended the Virtuoso creating a unique cigar with unmatchable flavor. The Virtuoso is medium to full bodied with deep flavors of earth, roasted coffee bean, and coco, all balanced with a hint of cedar spice. Casa Fernandez
When I first saw the Casa Fernandez cigar I was skeptical but was I wrong. I opened the box only to be in awe of a beautiful wrapper that was smooth and glistened with an oily sheen. The cigars smelled wonderful, I took one out of the box and quickly clipped it. The prelight had notes of cedar and was slightly tart. I fired it up and the room was filled with a dense complex smoke with notes of black pepper spice and fresh cut cedar. The cigar was bold and powerful yet silky smooth with loads of flavor. The Casa Fernandez is a wonderfully complex Nicaraguan smoke that I would highly recommend especially for the price.
