Graycliff G2

The Graycliff G2 was introduced in 2005, and was blended to introduce smokers who are unfamiliar with Graycliff cigars to the high quality and unique flavors that accompany a Graycliff but at a more affordable price.  It is my opinion that the cigars that make up the regular line are worth every penny, being that Graycliff is one of my favorite brands, but I do realize it is daunting to spend that amount of money on a cigar tried only once or never, and Graycliff realized this also, thus the G2 was born.  The G2 is a mild smoke, but full-flavored.  Imagine a Cuban cigar aged for 20-30 years, very earthy, very smooth with a creamy base to the cigar and it is one of the best, if not the best, mid-priced mild cigar on the market, but what would you expect from the man who created the Cuban Cohiba.  Avelino Lara blends with full flavor in mind and therefore was given free reign on selecting the best tobaccos from around the world.  His blends are always an intricate variety of tobaccos creating very complex cigars and the G2 blend is as varied as the regular lines; it is comprised of Costa Rican, Nicaraguan, Philippine, and Ecuadorian tobaccos.  The Graycliff G2 satisfies on all levels: it is high quality, well blended, complex, smooth, and affordable as an everyday smoke.

 The Graycliff Cigar Company is nestled inside the prestigious five-star Graycliff Resort in Nassau, Bahamas. Enrico Garzaroli, the owner of the Graycliff Resort, recruited Cuba’s very own, Avelino Lara to create a world class cigar outside of Cuba.

Avelino Lara was appointed by Fidel Castro to supervise Cuba’s cigar industry. In fact, Avelino created and blended Cuba’s most famous brand, Cohiba. Avelino, now in his 80’s, resides in Nassau where he oversees the blending and production of all Graycliff cigars.

Avelino created two different blends for Graycliff. The GRAYCLIFF ORIGINAL bears a striking red and gold band and is reminiscent of Cuban cigars from the 60’s. The multi-country tobacco blend is medium in strength with a rich, satisfying flavor. Avelino’s second creation is the GRAYCLIFF PROFESSIONALE. The Professionale series bears a bright blue and gold band and is a fuller-bodied blend with a nice spice on the palate.

Graycliff cigars are high-end, limited production cigars. In fact, there are only a handful of rollers who were personally selected by Avelino to roll such a prestigious cigar. With such hands-on supervision by Avelino and a limited number of rollers, Graycliff cigars are extremely consistent and perfectly constructed.

Graycliff Red Band Corona Edicion Limitada was created by Avelino Lara to celebrate his 80th birthday.   This special cigar was never released.   Instead, it sat aging for years, with only a few cigars given away as a special cigar from Avelino.   Fortunately, we were able to procure the entire lot of cigars that were produced.   We have a limited supply and will only offer a limited amount of cigars to be sold each month, as we want to stretch the availability of this cigar for as long as we can.   Available in Belicoso and Magnum sizes.

Graycliff Espresso Corona Edicion Limitada has a special, more robust blend of tobaccos than the standard Espresso line.   We created two hefty, 54 ring sizes to accommodate the bold filler tobacco blend.   This combination of special size and blend resulted in a truly extraordinary cigar with a balanced, spicy flavor.
