Padilla 1948 by Pepin
Don Pepin has blessed the industry again with the Padilla 1948. Even though Pepin blends the cigar it’s mild compared to the other cigars he produces. The cigar is a mild to medium bodied smoke that delivers lots of flavor every puff. Starting out like any true Pepin, its potent spicy cigar that soother out halfway down. The smoke has subtle notes of caramel and leather and has a wonderful room note of sugar and spice. Might want to break out a clip for the last ¼ of the cigar, the Padilla 1948 takes on a whole new persona with a warm sweetness.
This cigar is a welcomed change to the to the already mass number of full bodied cigars Pepin creates.

Padilla Series 68 is the final chapter in the trilogy Ernesto released in honor of his father, one of the world’s most renowned poets.
The Series 68 stands for 1968, the year Ernesto Padilla’s father compiled his most controversial work, one that ultimately led to his imprisonment in Cuba for speaking out against Castro’s communist regime.
Series ’68 is rolled in Honduras using a Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper taken from some of the highest corona leaves on the tobacco plant. This powerful reddish leaf is expertly blended with Cuban seed fillers from Jalapa and Condega, two of Nicaragua’s premier growing regions. The result is medium to full bodied smoke with a complex balance of spice, earth and wood notes with a hint of sweetness from the wrapper.
