NEW Fonseca Serie F

Fonseca Serie F is probably the fullest bodied cigar that Fonseca makes, yet, for all its power, it still remains surprisingly smooth.  This has to do with Manuel Quesada’s superior blending and careful aging of the cigar.  The smooth slightly creamy texture comes from the dark, Sun Grown Connecticut wrapper and its robust flavors of wood and leather, with a hint of nuttiness, comes from the expertly blended filler and the Nicaraguan Ligero gives the cigar its full-bodied spiciness.  Serie F performs superbly; a great draw and burn accompanies the cigar and it builds in flavor and character as it is smoked making each puff more enjoyable than the last.  Serie F is another great cigar from Fonseca that you don’t want to miss.

New From Fonseca!

The new Fonseca Reserva Especial is a limited edition cigar that is totally different from all other Fonseca cigars.  Traditionally, Fonseca cigars are very mild.  In fact, it is almost like a Fonseca trademark to be “mild and smooth”.  But Manuel Quesada broke the mold when he blended this one!  First off, he selected a dark, Havana Criollo wrapper that is grown in Honduras.  This wrapper is not only beautiful, but it packs a lot of flavor.  Second, Manuel blended full-bodied Nicaraguan ligero tobacco with a special 1996 vintage Dominican tobacco.  This combination creates a flavorful and somewhat strong smoke.

Due to the small quantities tobacco available for this blend, Manuel was only able to produce 1000 boxes and make only one size- a hefty 7”x 52 Torpedo.  Each Mahogany box of Fonseca Reserve Especials are inspected and signed by Manuel.

Carlos Fuente Jr. started a project named Opus over 10 years ago.  The story of the making of this great cigar and the history of the Fuente family is captured on the first disc of this new special Platinum edition DVD documentary.  The second DVD contains the making of the movies, an original sound track, unreleased footage, and more.  This limited edition set includes two Opus X Forbbiden X Churchill sized cigars in crystal tubes with special black bands, signifying the new brand.
